I'm replying to your answer concerning the water filling level in my washing machine. The water does stop right away when the cord is pulled and I don't notice any leaks/obstructions in the hose. The machine is closer to 10 years old and has been used most every day. When you mention the water level switch is it part #4023948 with your price being $7.96? It is just listed as "switch". Where on the machine is this switch located and how difficult is it to replace? thank you for your help---I appreciate it.

Here is the pressure switch listed for your machine, unfortunately it is a lot more than the $7.95 switch you found. In fact, I cannot locate the part you referenced. Part number: AP4025434
To replace it, you will take the screws off the back plate on the control console. It is not a difficult job. To avoid spending this money unnecessarily check to make sure the plastic tube on your existing switch is clear. Good luck.
