Hi,
I have an Amana Dryer model #LGA30AW that keeps running even after the clothes are dry. It is doing this on the automatic regular "more dry" setting". I don't know yet if it has this problem using other settings.

Any suggestions in the meantime as to what the problem might be?

Thanks,
Glenn

Update: The dryer will shut itself off if I have it on a timed cycle.

Thanks,
Glenn

The dryer will stop in all modes if I start it in somewhere other than at the beginning of a cycle (more dry setting) which is leading me to think that the timer is not the issue. I tried running the dryer empty so it could come up to temperature quickly; I don't think it is properly detecting when it reaches this temperature. I think my best bet will be to try replacing the dryer cycling thermostat.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Glenn
