My refrigerator began freezing the food on the refrigerator side about a 3 months ago. I lowered the setting from 5 to 3 and it continues to freeze the food especially in the vegetable drawer and the meat drawer. Could it be a bad thermostat? or what could cause this?

Hello Jaxs. This may sound crazy but I'll bet that the fresh food compartment temperature is set too warm. Think of it like this: When the thermostat is satisfied, the compressor and the fans are turned off. Since cold air is heavier than warm air, the cold air can migrate back into the fresh food compartment when the fans are not running. To correct this, simply set the freezer temperature one setting warmer and, believe it or not, set the fresh food temperature to a colder setting. This will cause the fan to run longer and prevents the items from freezing in the bottom of the fresh food compartment. If you try this, I'm sure it will help your situation! Have a great day!
