My ice-maker is not getting water even though the water hose is correctly installed. I recently replaced the ice-maker but that clearly wasn't the problem. Now a repair guy seems to think is the sensor that allows water to go to the ice-maker is faulty. Can someone assist me in solving this problem.

Any suggestions as to what might be the problem here. Just a little background, the ice-maker worked very well in the past and one day it stopped working (no ice) so i called in a repair guy and he suggested that i replaced the ice-maker and i did earlier this year but the no success.

I still cannot get ice. Please help

Theresa,

Does the water dispenser on the door work?

How old is the water filter?

Check the water feeding tube into the ice maker for a frost build up inside.

Post the results.

The water filter has been also replaced the same date with the new ice-maker. I defrosted the fridge yesterday to allow any ice in the line to melt. But i still can't get any ice.

What else can i do?

Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the ice maker solenoid (1/4" plastic tube) and the water dispenser solenoid. Push the water release lever on the door and watch if the ice maker filled up with water.

Post the results.
