I have purchased a new Frigidaire FEX831FS laundry center. It takes hours to dry. When I open the dryer door it is only mild heat present. Today I turned it on and went to check the outside vent and found that there is a strong vacuum, not exhaust! Any ideas? Is something wired backwards. Could this have been an installer error or factory error?

Thank you!

Well that is amazing

This is a factory error, and you should call for warranty service. They will make it right, but don't use the dryer until they do.

Good luck.

Thank you sidfink43. Sounds like this is the first you heard of that one?

Yeah, its like they installed the motor backwards, whichI did not know was even possible (because fitings would not line up) or somehow the windings in the motor are reversed.

I would think they will replace your machine with a new one. Let us know what they do.
