GE model TFH27PRSB WW. Things are freezing in the refrigerator side while the ice cream is too soft in the freezer. Things are still frozen in the freezer - still making ice - but just not cold enough. Thanks.

How are your controls set? Make sure the doors are sealing properly. Are things in the fresh food freezing only in a certain area or throughout the entire fresh food section? Is the ice cream soft all the time or just every once in a while? The ice cream can get soft during defrost which will happen at least twice a day.

Duh, I found the problem. While checking to see if the coils were defrosting, I found that the light shield under the icemaker bin had broken off and fallen down behind all the food. It ended up covering up the air intake (for the cooling coils) in the bottom of the freezer. Poor airflow was the culprit. Thanks for your help anyway.
