Check the heating element open the door press the door switch set the dryer to timed dry hi heat with the door open start the dryer let it run then notice if the dryer gets hot you will know because if it is the inside of the drum will start to glow amber and if it does not the element is bad and will need to be replaced

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for General Electric DPSR483EA0WW Electric dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com

Do you have the wiring diagram for the unit.
if not check inside the control console.

I cannot get the wiring diagram because GE likes to keep all tech info a secret.
Here is a link with some sample GE wiring diagrams (# 28).
The older style GE one does show which switches are close for the different cycles so is useful.

Could be that one of your elements is burned out.
Disconnect them when measuring to ensure that you do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path.

Also when checking for the elements getting red do not do it for very long as there is no air being pulled over the elements so you could burnout an element or blow a safety thermostat.

The first thing to check when you have no heat is the power.
The light and timer use 120 volts but the elements require the full 240.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Do this with the heater off and on.

If one element is burned out you will only have half the heat.
