Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/14/2012(UTC) Posts: 2		My whirlpool top loader is about 7 years old and the agitator won't spin. When I put it on high spin I get a loud knocking/ticking noise, when I put it on low spin I get a low sounding buzzing noise. Any Ideas Thanks

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 7/24/2007(UTC) Posts: 2,277		Hi, Not sure what you mean by the agitator won't spin. The agitator should agitate and the basket should spin. You may want to check the motor coupling or agitator dogs depending on just what is wrong with your washer.

When I turn it directly to high spin(after the rinse cycle) I get the loud knocking noise, when I turn it to low spin(also after the rinse cycle), I get the light buzzing sound. Thanks
