My LG washer is leaking a substantial amount of water from the rear air vent (not the hose) during the last 6 minutes of the cycle when the drum is spinning. How do I resolve this problem?

I have seen this happen when there is an excessive amount of suds in unit and during spin, the displaced air will push out the suds out air vent resulting in water leaking as suds will turn into water...

Of course this unit has a suds sensing abiility, and it usually will not allow the unit to spin or drain if it senses excess suds, but then it can happen.

I would also check the pump to see if it might be partially obstructed which may contribute.

If it is sudsing, then use less soap or an HE type soap.

At least this is a place for you to start...
