Hi,
My dryer works perfect, the only thing it doesn't do is stop after the cycles. I have to open the door or manually turn the cycle know to turn it off. I alreadt replaced the timer & it still doesn't the same exact thing. Can someone please help. Can you please help me figer out whats the problem.

Hello, Isabel.

With timer already replaced I can think of push to start switch and motor.
If you are comfortable to do the life test open the control panel, start the dryer.
Advance the timer to the "off" position.
Assuming the dryer is still running locate the common wire at the start switch marked "C".
Using insulated pliers pull the wire of the "C" terminal.
Dryer stops - replace the start switch.

The start switch Part number: 279173
Part number: 279173


Post the results.

Simon,
I replaced a new motor so I know that's good. Would I still need to replace the push to start button even though the machine starts when I push it. I have open the door to stop it or turn the cycle to off. Do you still think it's the push to start button?

Hello.

Sorry, my fault. Didn't get info clear from the beginning.
Lets leave the start button alone.
Is the timer advancing on the time dry?
Is it advancing at all?

Please post the answer.

Hi Simon,
Yest it's advancing, it heats properly & dries well. Goes to end of cycle to the cooling position where than it should shut off, but it doesn't.

When you replace the motor did you have to put 2 new terminals? If you did are sure they installed correctly?

Hi,me again.

Can't go to sleep with this mistery of yours.
Have you try NO HEAT cycle, see if it will shot off.
Also, give me the part numbers for the timer and motor you replaced.

Good morning Simon,
Hope you got all your sleep. We replaced the motor with all the wiring involved not sure what you mean about the 2 new terminals.
The motor Part Number: AP3094245

I was wondering if it could be the resistor? I believe I have an older donut shape one...but think the new one is jus a wire with 2 connectors at the end Part Number: AP3094277.

Simon,
I just tested the resistor & there's no conductivity on it. I guess it might be a bad resistor...What do you think???
