I replaced the rear drum support rollers in my dryer (Part #AP3098345), and everything went exactly like the instructional video, with the exception of the tinnerman clip (minute 5:30 in the video).

I tried everything I could think of to push it on, but the tabs are not spreading open like they should. In fact, it doesn't look like the cuts for the tabs go all the way through.

The video makes it look like only modest force should be required. Is there some trick to getting the clip on or is it possible the one I got is defective?

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

Try the 3/8 nut driver to push it on.
