I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON A GE REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE FREEZER ON THE BOTTOM, BUT ICE MAKER IS STILL LOCATED IN THE REFRIGERATOR. THE ICE MAKER NEEDS REPLACED, BUT I CANNOT FIND HOW TO REMOVE THE ICEMAKER?

PLEASE HELP:confused:

Remove the ice bin and on the sidewall of the icemaker compartment there should be a cover held on by a screw near the front of the compartment remove that cover. Once removed you can unplug the icemaker. Then all you have to do is press in on the release lever at the front of the icemaker. Hope this helps! Refrigerator repair guide
