My refrigerator and freezer are not cold enough. The temperature settings for both are at maximum. The temperature of the freezer is about 27 degrees F. The icemaker will not make ice and I'm assuming this is because of the temperature problem. I cleaned the coils under the unit and I'd like to know what the next step is in troubleshooting this problem. Thanks.

Is the compressor cycling normally or is it on all the time?

You can usually hear it but you should also be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm.

If it is cycling then odds are that it is a thermostat problem (Item 424 in Section 5).

If it is on all the time.
Is the condenser (compressor) fan running?
Is the evaporator (freezer) fan running?
Both are required for proper cooling.
