I had problems with my dryer's drum not turning. I went ahead and took the drum out through the front and literally have taken the whole dryer apart. I took the bearing out as that seems to be the culprit. How do I tell if it's bad and how much will it cost to get a new one to replace it?
Thanks!

Hi Vicki If the motor and belt are ok, the rear bearing assembly is probably the culprit. Now that you have done the hard work by taking things apart, replacing it is fairly easy and inexpensive. Here is the part Part number: AP2142648
Good luck!

Sid,
Thanks for your advice. I received the new dryer bearing today and want to put it back together but there are no instructions with it.... Can you help?

Thank you for all your help! With the tips you gave me here I was able to put my dryer back together and it works great. I never would have thought I could do it. I really appreciate all your help from ordering the right parts, to providing the service manual.

Great, glad you were able to do it.
Be sure to tell everyone (except those who might ask you to repair their machines).
Thanks also for updating us.
