It no longer works, the icemaker does however and when I lower the arm in the freezer you can hear the water charging/filling the tray so I don’t believe I have a problem with the water line from the filter to the valve. I do not have a repair manual but wondered if there is a double solenoid valve that allows water for ice or water for the dispenser when activated at the dispenser. How can I troubleshoot to verify a bad valve? Do I test for the signal at the solenoid? What aspects am I missing from the troubleshooting guide if it is not the valve?

Remove the wires from the water dispenser solenoid (5/16" tube) and check for 120 VAC between these wires while the water dispenser calls for water. Gene, I tested out and got the signal indicating failure of the water side of the inlet valve. I looked at the part and am assuming that it mates with the existing outer inlet for the water. Is this the case and would I need any o-rings or anything else?
