Hello! The problem I am having with my dryer is the timer gets stuck once it reaches 20 minutes left to complete the timed cycle. Do I need a new timer?
Thanks in advance! Stephanie

The general rule is that if everything else is working and the timer in timed mode does not move or stops, then the timer likely needs replacing. Here is the part. Good luck Part number: AP4043866

Yes, it is an easy repair. Sometimes it is difficult to get the old timer off, it may be that there is a cover on it that you pry off to get to a clip, or it may be that you pull off the timer knob and can take it off with screws. Either way you will figure it out.
Take off the back panel, unplug the old, take it off, put on the new, and you should be fine.
Good luck.
