However, the washing machine cycle will not advance with the new timer and same with the old timer. Is there something else that may be malfuctioning? Or it too expensive to repair and it is time to get a new one. Thanks

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 6/21/2008(UTC) Posts: 4		There are 2 timers for the model Maytag that I have (LAT9406AAE), and they look exactly the same. Apparently they are wired different. You probably have the wrong timer.
