washer goes through washing cycle. when it changes to drain and spin it is very sluggish, dimming the overhead light and then tripping the breaker. the overhead light is on another circuit. what does it sound like to you. there is also a hot smell. the length of time it takes to spin and trip the breaker is approximately 30 to 60 seconds.

did not remove front panel. belt is underneath washer. belt removed. pump pulley moves relatively freely in both directions. what next.

Sorry for the delay. Run the washer on spin without the belt. It it happens again then the motor has gone bad. - The motor Part number: AP4024680
