The washer overfills only on the maximum cycle. When it starts to wash, water pours out of overflow tube. It works fine on any cycle with less water. We replaced the pressure sensor switch and it didn't fix the problem

I'm sorry but I have bad news for you. Most likely the problem with your washer is a bad transmission. Fixing it is going to be too much money and in my opinion it is much better to buy a new washer. In this case do not buy any front loading machines - too many problems.
