Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/2/2012(UTC) Posts: 2		We moved into a new house, and the previous owners did not leave the manual for the Kenmore Self-cleaning convection range. I'm trying to clean it, but when I hit the Flex Clean button, the oven door locks to start the cleaning cycle, but after a few seconds it beeps and the error code F40 is displayed. What does this error code mean and can I fix it without having to pay for a repairman to come out? Thanks!

It's Canadian, and I've triple checked the model number and I have it typed correctly. I've noticed other people posting that got the same error message when trying to use the self-clean feature on their oven though, so I'm hoping it can be figured out without the model number. It's a Kenmore Self-Cleaning Convection Range. I've been searching but I have yet to find an answer to what F40 means and how it can be fixed.
