HELP!!! I need instructions on how to remove the cabinet on a Maytag Ensignia MDE6657BYW and replace the heating element. I can't seem to find any manuals or instructions anywhere on how to do this. I've already checked the vent and circuit breaker and they are fine.

Hi Aortiz

Take off the door, then take out the two screws on the opposite side of the door hinge and the front panel will come off. This will let you access the top to take it off.

Before going after the heating element, check to see that you have 120 volts to each side of the connection block (sometimes the breakers look ok when they are not) and check your thermal fuses/thermostats for continuity. It is more likely the problem is there then in the heating element.

If these are ok, then go ahead to the element, but test it before ordering a new one.

Good luck.
