Hi, we have a ge profile dishwasher which is 3 yrs old. Suddenly the start button stopped working on the keypad. I am able to select some cycles except for the start/reset button. Do you think changing the keypad would solve the problem..? Or should we go for a brand new one than putting money for repair. In case we need to change the keypad can we do it by ourselves..?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks Savvy

Hi Savvy, Most likely the problem is a bad start key. The solution is to replace the escutcheon assembly. This part is relatively inexpensive compare to a new dishwasher and it is worth to fix it. This job is not too difficult if you know how to handle a simple tools. - The escutcheon assembly Part number: AP3997994

You are welcome. You can call the APP customer service to find the ETA. APP is the only place where you can return any unneeded part even if it was installed.
