Hi,
I have the GE Artica PSC23SGPASS and my problem is that it's freezing everything in the middle drawer. I also noticed that the custom thaw 3 lb. light keeps going on even after I shut it off (it goes back on after I shut the refridgerator door).

Please help!

Very likely the cause of the problem with the vegetable pan is an excessive airflow from the vents in the tower. The correction is to install the upgrade kit designed by GE to fix such problems. It comes with the installation instructions. It's also described in the Tech bulletin attached to the replay.

The problem with the custom thaw can be caused by the main control board.

- The vent kit Part number: AP3420905
Part number: AP3420905

- The main control board Part number: AP4436216

Hi,
is there a way to check if the damper is functioning prior to ordering the new part to ensure that is in fact the problem? thanks for your help!

If the temperature on the upper shelf is normal then there is nothing wrong with the damper.

The temperature on the upper drawer and lower drawer are fine, it's just the middle drawer that freezes everything. Would this still be a damper issue or something else? Thanks again for your help!

I don't think there is anything wrong with the damper itself.

Gene.
