Three cycle washer. After final spin in any cycle, the emergency brake locks the tub. Makes loud bump as expected. This is the same noise as lifting the lid makes when spinning. Just started doing this a couple of weeks ago, the washer works fine except for this, and a cursory overview of the drive and motor, did not indicate anything out of place or damaged. Have already unplugged and replugged connectors to see if a contact was afoul. Thinking it is Timer, but some indicate transmission is culprit. Thanks for advice..

I think the problem is with the brakes, see the Sticky by Richappy at the top of the main washer page on Direct Drive brakes for info on how to check them out.
