GE TFX22JA | TFT22JA (Side-by-Side) freezer/frige Icing Symptoms: 1) Ice accumulated at the bottom of the evaporator and spread to the bottom of the freezer in 2-3 days. Freezer appears working, no thawing food. 2) Water leaked outside of the freezer door from the accumulated ice. 3) I cleared the drain hole today (diameter of a finger) with a wire, it was plugged with ice before. 4) Evap freezer fan IS Working. Please help diagnose and pin point what needs to be replaced.:confused: 5) Picture attached (the red wire bundle is the top of the freezer). Judging by the pictures I believe you have a sealed system problem such as low on refrigerant, bad compressor or stopped up cap-tube. While I support do-it-yourselfers this is a job for professionals. But expect a high repair bill it might not be worth it. Refrigerator repair guide
