Dryer has locked out and will not allow any operation, simply shows error code E63 and a phone number. Staff answering number state that code means the dryer's heating element is faulty and they can send a new element for $109.65. Is this something I should try to repair myself, or should I engage a serviceman? I'm relatively handy and should have all tolls required unless there is some specialty item. Another thought is: should I believe the code or is there possibly another cause? And can the dryer be reset so I can attempt to use it? (Already tripped circuit breaker and made no difference). Thanks for any help you might provide!
