I have a GE DBLR333TOW electric dryer. The blower wheel on it keeps coming loose and will not stay on. I can take the front clamp off, push the wheel back and then replace the front clamp and tighten the screw and within minutes it is loose and rubbing the housing again. The screw does indeed get tight when screwed into the rear clamp and it is not stripped out. Also, the wheel appears to be in good condition. What exactly is supposed to be holding the wheel tight? Is it just a tension clamp? Do you think I need a new clamp or is there another possible culprit?

It is the assembly here:

I'm guessing it is a little late for your problem, but maybe this will help someone else.

That clamp needs to be REALLY tight. It is not super obvious how it clamps the fan on, but basically it pushes the clamp down the angled face of the fan which cinches it up on the shaft. Unless it is very, very tight, then it will work itself forward over time.
