I have searched and found no situation like mine. My washer will stop mid cycle and beep repeatedly with the remainings minutes flashing (no erro codes) for about 15 seconds then completely shut off. Last time i was able to unplug the machine let it set for a while then plug back in, hear a beep, push power button and restart the washing and do a few more loads to complete my washing. Today I started a load, it did the same thing except this time after unpluging and letting it set and pluging back in it beeped but the power button does nothing. I tried to run the diagnostic feature but nothing comes up on the panel, nothing. From reading I think I may need the user interface board or the control unit or both. Can any one give me suggestions? (both parts are expensive!) Help, Anyone, please.

My washer has the same exact symptoms... the Sears repairman told me to call Whirpool because issue has been identified . They will replace the Control Board/panel for freee call 1-800-659-7026.

I am waiting for my new control panel to arrive. I am just concerned what may happen next...I have read several stories about the 'touch pad' having to be replaced too. We'll know more when we get the part installed and the washer working.

I called yesterday and the part is on its way. I hope I don't have to replace the user interface aso. The person I talked to said the control board should take care of the problem. Hope it does.

Any luck with the control board replacement?

Is Sears doing it or are you trying to do it yourself?

Have not recieved the part yet, but I plan on doing it myself. However if you do not have experience you may want to have sears or other repair service do it.

You just saved me money! My washer was freaking out and I thought I was going to need to replace the user interface board after checking the diagnosis then I found this thread, called and found out there was a recall and they are sending the parts and a technician to fix it in 1 week.

Sears fixed my Washer 'No Charge' after I asked them to check for the recall. Would have been a minimum of $125 plus parts.

It pays to call and be the squeaky wheel.
