Dryer started making a rubbing sound when tumbling, but now will not even turn on. Is this a "do it yourself" type problem with right part?

If you are somehow handy this is not too difficult to do it yourself. Remove the top and the front panels. Remove the rear access panel. Remove the belt from the idler and motor pulleys. Remove the drum. Check the rear bearing and the front felts & glides. Check the motor. Post the results.
