Washer wont spin out all the water

Have a whirlpool washer that washes clothes fine but when it gets to the rinse / spin cycle the tub doesn't ingage to spin out the water. If I open lid and wiggle tub it will spin normally. Is it a transmission, brakes or what?

You probably have a bad spin basket drive block and worn spin tube tabs, just check.You will need to pull the agitator off to check. You will need to order the special spanner wrench to tighten it.
