I Have a GE Electric Oven (Wall Unit) I purchased used last Feb. 2007 It was less than three years old, the lady remodeled her kitchen and bought new. It workd fine until I left Florida in April, when I shut off all the power. When I returned this year in Jan. and turned power on, the oven seemed to be okay, but a day later, the F7 code flashed. The oven had not been turned on yet, so I shut off the power. The next day I turned the power back on and lit the oven, heated it to 350 degees, and then turned the oven off. A day later, the F7 code came on again. I again shut off the power and tried it again today. I had the oven set at 350, and soon the F2 code flashed, and I could detect an odor similar to an electric fire. I believe the temperature was well over 350. Would appreciate any ideas you could give me.

The error code "F7" means stuck one or more pads on the key pad.

The error code "F2" means runaway temperature.

The correction in your case is to replace the control panel and the control board.

- The part number for the control panel is AP3183407

- The part number for the control board is AP3189149

- Here are the break down diagrams for the GE oven Model JRS04BW2BB

Good luck.
Gene.
