We have a Thermal-Convection Double Self-Cleaning oven. The bake element for the top (convection) oven blew the other day, so we ordered a new bake element. We have the old element out, and can put the new one in, but we noticed these little ceramic "feet" on the OLD element that are not on the new element - and nothing in the literature refers to these little things. These "feet" (a friend of ours called them chairs) fit somehow on the triangular things the element uses to rest on the floor of the oven. Our question is 1) do we need to put these on the new element? 2) If so, how? We had to cut them out of the old element so they don't slide in/out very easily.
Sorry - Model # above is wrong - it's for a KitchenAid KEBS227W

The manufacturer redesign the bake element for your oven.

You do not have to do anything to the new part. Just install it and it should work.

Good luck.
Gene.
