My washer /dryer combo is buzzing/chattering on startup. Sometimes it won't start and buzzes only. When it does that, the overloads trip.

Motor or capaictor or what?

HI Jam Bam

Sounds like your motor is starting to fail. There is no capacitor. First open the dryer and thoroughly get all of lint and everthing else out of the cabinet and out of the vent system. It is essential that you clean out the blower area also.

Try it again, and if you still have trouble you may need to consider a new motor. Let us know what you find out, and also please post the full model number and tell us if the times it starts it heats and tumbles and whether or not it is gas or electric.

Thanks
