Greetings,
after a few years of using it, my dishwasher does not work anymore.
The covers on the control panel started peeling off a few weeks ago. All the buttons were working fine except for the Start button that was intermittent. Today after completing a washing cycle all the buttons are not working. No lights illuminate and pressing any button does not do anything anymore.
There is electricity getting to the electronic control assembly (blk/wht and blk wires) but before I start replacing parts I need some ideas or troubleshooting suggestions.
Thanks!

KitchenAid KUDS01FKSS1 I'm having the same problem with my start button. The protective plastic on the start switch came off. I think water has entered the switch and caused it to be defective. I removed the control panel and swapped another switch with the start switch. Everything looked great and the start switch was perfect.
The cycle never finished after the door popped open and now I seem to have a whole new issue as the control panel won't respond at all. I went from one switch that caused trouble to no switches/leds working. I haven't opened it up again yet but what's the most likely culprit? The control panel? The fuse?
