Fairly new GE frontload Dryer 6400 (delivered new 7/3/08) Noticed today that the front of the dryer, just below the door on the left is really hot to the touch. This is no matter which cycle I used to dry. This may be perfectly normal and I just simply never noticed before today. Is it normal? Had a few issues with the washer within a month of delivery, so not feeling good about this......Thanks!

Make sure the vent is clean all the way through the its outlet. Any air flow restrictions will cause the dryer to overheat.

The model number you posted is not a valid GE model number. Verify and repost it.
