The front left burner on my Chambes (Model GSU-33P) does not light. The ignitor clicks but the burner does not light. The other three burners do light however I believe they are too slow. I am new to the stove (new house) but the burners are slow to light and the gas 'poofs' when it lights.

How can I service this stove to make the ignitors work properly? Do I need to replace the ignitor(s)? If so, where can I find information about changing the part and where can they be purchased?

How many ignitors does this stove have?

What other information do I need to know about this stove and the ignitors?

I believe my gas cook top is from 1986 and has a very simple top with four burners. The front right burner is a 'power blast' burner with six individual sub burners. The other three burners have four individual sub burners. It is stainless steel top with four nobs in the front. It sits in the counter top and is only about 6-8 inches deep.

I have been able to determine that the ignitor does spark since the front and back burner share one ignitor and the back burner is not a problem.

It appears you may be right that the burner needs to be cleaned. However, it does look pretty clean when I left the top. Regardless, any suggestions or instructions for cleaning the burner on my Chambers model.

This was exactly what needed to be done on my Chambers GSU-33-E-1:)

Possibly something wrong with the incoming gas flow. Make sure the gas shut off valve for the stove is completely open. If there is nothing wrong, the gas pressure regulator would need to be replaced. The part number for the gas pressure regulator is ERPR2. The part is no longer available but you can try to locate it online.
