My Kenmore front loading washer is 1 1/2 years old, and has quite. I have never been so frustrated in my life, I have received absolutely no help from Kenmore. They said, Oh thats to bad....
I turn on the power, choose the cycle, push start and the ERROR code F-01 is displayed. I have read the troubleshooting manual, and unplugged the machine overnight, tried the door, but it continues to display F-01. If anyone can help, I would so appreciate it. This will be the last time I purchase an appliance from Sears. I am to make my final payment on the machine next week....the payments outlast the product.

Hi Marlene

Sorry you are having this type of trouble. Given what you paid for this machine you should get top service and support. Unfortunately, to paraphrase what someone else on this Forum has said, if you find yourself talking to Sears about a computer controlled front load washer, you probably know far more than the person to whom you are speaking. Now you know why people like me recommend the basic no frills top loading machine with no computer controls.

I am not sure I can give you a whole lot of additional help, so I beg your forebearance in advance (don't yell). If you have the tech notes you may be able to put the machine into a self diagnostic routine, but given the error code you are seeing it probably will not go into that mode. The error code is usually associated with a central control unit failure, and it is likely (but not certainly) this is your problem since they are one of the weak spots of these machines. It is something you can easily replace yourself if you want to attempt it, and take the chance that the CCU will fix your problems.

Good luck, hope this helps.
