yesterday, my husband went to put a load of laundry in the washer and noticed it wouldn't power up. he checked the normal pathways (ie. unplugged and replugged - no luck, plugged something else into the plug - worked fine, and flipped the breaker switch - no luck). then he unpluggedit and left it for 15 minutes or so and it would power up but now all of the times for the various cycles are wrong (5.9 instead of 59 minutes for regular/color wash cycle) and when you push 'start/pause,' the timer will count down to zero, but nothing happens. When it gets to zero, it beeps as if it has successfully completed the wash cycle.
Any thoughts? I'm hoping there is a way to reset it or have it go through the auto system checks like it did when it was new, but I can't find anything in the manual and I'd prefer not to pay a service rep to come out and charge me for resetting a swich of some kind.
I'd appreciate any help....the dirty clothes are piling up!

Sounds like the problem is a bad main control board. Open the control panel and look for the tech sheet. Run the tests as described in the tech sheet. - The control board Part number: AP3995160

Thanks for your reply, Gene. I am hoping after only 1.5 years of having this washer that it would not be a bad main control board, but we will certainly run the tests the tech sheet describes.
