Not enough ice is produced. We can leave the house for a week and upon returning there is very little ice in the conainer. Had one tech here who changed a large card which was to upgrade (shorten) length of time between ice dumps but no help. Is there a sensor that shuts down ice dumping if it thinks it's full?

As long as your refrigerator is less than a year old, keep calling GE for the warranty service.
