I just replaced the icemaker and cleaned the coils on the bottom in doing so i noticed a moisture spot on the back just below freezer level . When i turned the unit back on i noticed it just kept running so i checked the temp. in the freezer was -16 the frig. was 39 so i ajusted the control knob until it shut off then brought it up to recommended no. 3 couple minutes it came on again. It runs amost constantly but keeps things cold freezer about 0 frig 37. Is there a part i need to get or something else needs cleaning????????

Yours sounds like a cold control problem. Unplug the control and Test the control for continuity using a multitester. Set the multitester to the ohms setting X1. Place a probe on each terminal. Turn the control to warmest setting or off. The multitester should display a reading of infinity. If the control does not have an off position, the reading should be near the infinity end of the scale. Now change the control to the coldest setting and retest. The display should read zero ohms. If the control does not pass both of these tests, the switch should be replaced.

Woodchuckie You say cold control is that the thermostat assembly? It does go off if you turn it down and it will cycle if you put it to a lower no. but the temps. go up on the frig. and freezer. why the condensation on the back of the frig.

If that condensation is on the exterior back, it would be some kind of cold air leak from the inside where the cold evaporator coils or return coil is.
And the thermostat assembly seems to be erratic.
