We have a Frigidaire Affinity dryer that we bought less than a year ago. During some remodelling, I accidentally drilled through the 220V line that supplies the dryer outlet (I know, pretty stupid!) and had to splice the wires back together. Now, when we tried to use the dryer, it ran for a minute or 2 and we got an error code E61. Any ideas?

I actually figured out the answer shortly after posting my question. We have an older home, and the dryer is wired through an older fuse box using 2 35-amp buss fuses. 1 of the fuses was good, supplying enough power to the dryer to light the display and actually run it for a few minutes, but the 2nd fuse was blown. I replaced the bad fuse and the dryer is now running fine.

Thanks, I appreciate the follow-up to make sure I did the splice correctly. Yes, I spliced the line in a metal junction box with a cover plate. I actually found a couple other junction boxes in the basement that don't have plates on them. They will be getting plates very soon! Anyway, thanks for the help!
