Hello,

i have a buzzing noise that comes from the back of the unit, then eventually the freezer part goes out and then the refrigerator. i have purchased from you and replaced both the compressor starting device and the run capacitor. they fix the problem for about a week or 2 and then it starts again. something else must be wrong. can you please help. I live in rural area where service is not available. thanks you

Your start device may have burnt out again. To verify, get an ohmeter and check the resistance between the bottom two compressor pins of the start device, if blown open, replace it and ad a surge protector to the wall outlet. I use a Belkin F9H20-CW 1200 Joules available on Amazon.

i repalced the starter and the capacitor and added the surge protector, imediately the buzzing started and is on/off every few seconds. the frig and freezer are working again, but i'm sure it will go out again.

Seems like your compressor will not start, drawing high current, then shutting down on it's klixon overload. Probably burnt windings.
