I can dry about 2 loads (sometimes only 1) and when I push the button to start it again, it makes a buzzing sound, then a click sound, then nothing. I replaced the belt on advice from a co-worker and although the belt was pretty worn out, the problem persists. I bought the dryer from a friend so I'm not really sure just how old it is, but I'm guessing it's no spring chicken..... :) Heeeeellllllpppp!!!

Since you seem to state that the dryer does not stop during a run, but is hard to start after a run it is possible the problem is in your start switch. Since it is inexpensive and easy to replace I would start there, and if that is not the problem at least it rules it out.

Unfortunately, the next part to suspect is the motor, but let's see what happens if you replace the start switch.

Good luck.
