I had to buy a replacement Ice Crusher Cover but in order to instal it it looks like I have to remove all the blades but i can't remove the outermost spacer.
Any ides so I don't have to order the complete basket assembly for $100 instead of the $15) I just spent?

You do not have to remove the blades to replace this part. I will try to explain how to replace it but without pictures it may be confusing but here goes nothing.
- Remove the front cover off the ice bin by removing the two screws on the bottom front and one in the center inside the ice-bucket (some models only have this one).
- Separate the ice bucket from the crusher. The crusher is the yellow housing that all the blades are in and the bucket is the white bucket that the ice falls into. On each side of the ice bucket you should see holes that the crusher snaps into. Using a screwdriver prize the crusher up from the top.
- Once the crusher starts up look at the metal rod that opens the flap to bypass the blades for cubed ice. Lift up on that so that it will clear and allow you to remove the crusher.
- Once the crusher is out the crusher cover should lift up and over the auger.
Hope this helps! This may be confusing so post back if you don’t understand and I will try to clear things up. Refrigerator repair guide
