Three weeks ago in response to the door popping open mid-cycle, I bent down the strike (AP3885607) to the point that it lightly contacts the bottom of the latch (AP3179951) when I close the door.

This action gave me satisfactory results through a number of cycles, but now the door has resumed popping open mid-cycle most of the time.

Is it likely that replacing the latch (AP3179951) will solve this problem for a year or so?

Should I replace the strike (AP3885607) at the same time?

I would replace both the door latch and the door strike.
