I had the dishwasher preset and it may have started because it had water in the bottom. My 18 month old grandson also liked pushing the buttons. We found the dishwasher dead. Meter shows it is getting electrical power up to the buttons. Is there a way to reset it?

Tom,
I don't know if you can reset it, but I have a similar problem with one in a rental unit. From my research, I am told it is probably a problem in the heating of the rinse water in the rinse cycle. Either the element is not heating the water or the thermostat is not sensing the increase in temp. Either way the temperature of the rinse water is the key. It tells the thermostat to alow the the timer to continue. Timers rarely go bad. I am replacing the thermostat in mine. Hope this helps.
