My refrigerator is defrosting too long. Items thaw out then it refreezes and everything gets hard again. It does this about two times a day. The ice melts down in the ice maker and then refreezes into one big block. I talked to a tech and he said it sounded like the motherboard, so we replaced it. But, it did not help. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you

If you have a meter you can check things, if not look for the obvious things like intermittant evaporator motor or condensing motor in the back.

Do you think we need a new condensing motor? Do you think it could be the temp sensor?

I just looked at a fridge with similar syptoms, turned out to be a bad compressor. Basically, when the compressor acts up, it just stops pumping refrigerant, so the smaller tubing from the compressor gets warm but not hot and the compressor would draw less current.
