GE dryer has power and was working. Went to start the dryer and it will only humm at you when you try to turn the on switch

Hi Rick,

Most likely the problem with your dryer is a bad motor start winding.

The motor has to be replaced in such case.

- The part number for the motor is AP2043550

- Here are the break down diagrams for the GE dryer Model DWSR485EA1WW
