Washer does not spin in the spin cycle however it sounds like it is working but nothing moving, I thought maybe a belt broke however I am unable to find a belt, What could the problem be?

Here is a site that will show you how to by pass the lid switch. If it spins then, replace the switch.

Since you say it sounds like it is running, a more likely problem is the clutch. If the lid switch is ok, try replacing the clutch.

Good luck
