I need help on tseting my start switch with a digital ohmmeter. I don't think it is working but I need to confirm I am doing it right.

The way I would test the start switch with a multimeter is to check the switch for continuity. I can tell you from experience though that it's never the start switch that is the problem. :) If the dryer does not start at all I would check the thermal fuse on the back of the dryer. If the dryer does not start, but you can hear the motor humming like it's trying to start then the motor is probably at fault and needs to be replaced. Just my 2 cents...
